Biography

I am a freshman at Wayne High School in West Virginia and I love to pitch. I am in the honors program, an elected member of the student council, was chosen to be on the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council, am a member of the regional math field day team, and I am also a member of the Academic Showdown (quiz bowl) team. I love baseball, my family, church, and traveling. I also enjoy pickleball, hunting, and fishing.
I have played baseball since I was five and in addition to my school, I play for the Huntington Hounds in the summer; they also go by the West Virginia Baseball Club. I ran two years of cross country in middle school before I could start playing with the high school fall team in eighth grade. While at Wayne Middle School, I set the school record for career strikeouts with 151 and the single season record with 94. When I was ten, I set the single game strikeout record at Hite-Saunders Little League with 15 and when I was twelve I set the single game strikeout record at Buffalo Cal Ripken with 17.
My goal is not just to play college baseball, but to have a lengthy MLB career and I have been working with several former professional players and current scouts on all aspects of the game for several years. I also have used strength coaches from two different MLB organizations to design workout routines for me for the last two years. That work paid off this fall during our team "hell week" competitions, which consist of five days of competitions featuring endurance running, sprinting, weightlifting, running with weights, plyometrics, med ball tosses, and various other exercises. My goal was to be in the top seven and I finished sixth on the team, which was the highest amongst freshmen and sophomores and beating out some juniors and seniors.
